The SPOON RIVER FLYERS started out with a meeting held at Elmwood Pizza
Co. on the evening of 03 Jan 95. We elected a board of directors, set dues, voted to apply for AMA charter, and accept a feild outside of Maquon IL as our flying site. Those were the humble beginning of The Spoonriver Flyers. Our flying field is located 3/4 mile NE of Maquon on Douglas Blacktop.
